Jaywalk
Everyone knows Abbey Road. The crosswalk image, the four of them walking in line. It’s one of the most iconic photographs in history.
And that’s exactly why I couldn’t paint it.
When I started thinking about how to represent the Beatles, what obsessed me was the way they moved through the world: never where they were supposed to, never within the limits, always stepping outside the path. “Jaywalk” means crossing where you’re not supposed to. That’s the Beatles.
So I split the painting in a wild, organic way. An explosion of color, their suits, the background, everything blending together as if psychedelia had completely taken over the canvas. There’s no correct geometry here. There’s freedom.
It’s the largest horizontal piece in the collection, and also the most chaotic. In the best possible way.
